Introductory Paragraph (Fate) ~ The Statistical Probability of
                                    Love at First Sight
Isabel Allende once said " Heart is what drives us and determines our fate." This means that our passion for something is what creates our fate or destiny. This quote,is true, because our fate is based on what we love or what we want to do. Every individual has a different kind of fate, we all seek for a great fantasy, but it never turns out the way we expect it to be. We make decisions in life, thinking that it will direct us to what we are expecting.  This can be clearly seen in the book, The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight, by Jennifer E. Smith. In this book fate is demonstrated when Hadley spends time at the wedding and realizes that it wasn't what she imagined, when Hadley arrives unexpectedly at the funeral, when Oliver arrives in the steps where Hadley is.
I am..

I am Hadley
I am angry and scared
I wonder if I can do something to miss my flight
I hear my mother telling me that my father is still my father
I see the flight attendants everywhere
I want this trip to be fast
I am claustrophobic

I pretend to imagine the clear blue sky
I feel the plane getting smaller and smaller
I touch the wrinkled bridesmaid dress
I worry that everything will never be the same
I cry imagining the good old days
I am scared

I understand that my dad is making a new life
I say that I am happy for him
I try to be strong
I hope that he will still have me in his life
I dream about the way my dad was at home
I am Hadley

" A hero is an ordinary individual who finds the strength to persevere and endure in spite of overwhelming obstacles." - Christopher Reeve (Superman). What this quote is basically saying is that a hero is a person who finds a way to be strong despite his/hers obstacles in life. I agree with this quote, because there are many people who have suffered so much but still manage to find a reason to try in life. No matter what crosses in there life they will not give up, and to me are called survivors.

The author of this book is Jennifer E. Smith. My theme is Fate. The reason why I chose this book is because there's love and romance involved. I think what is going to happen is that obviously that Hadley and Oliver will fall for each other, and once the plane lands they will have to leave each other, since they both have two completely different purposes in England. They might find each other throughout England and stay in touch with one another.
